On my 2006 Accord. The black light on the radio and a/c will not turn on when the head light are on. So when it is dark I cannot see the radio or a/c seetings.

Strange things is that when I turn off the head lights the black light will turn on. But of course I cannot drive without the head lights off.

Is there a setting or botton(s) I can use to adjust this. I use the dim switch that would adjust the dash light but no effect on the radio or a/c light.

this happened to my 04 accord v6. This has been a recall on Honda. All you have to do is take it to the dealership and they'll replace the circuit board for no cost.

It's a warranty extension not a recall. There is a difference. The extension is 7 years or 105k miles whichever comes first.

This could also have been found easily with a search.

 

The PCB gets replaced for a dim display. If the display is COMPLETELY out, there is a factory "check" mode you can enter accidently by holding a button too long. Have the dealer check it out before assuming too much.
