OBD1 GSR motor into OBD2 98 EK

a buddy of mine is about to install an OBD1 JDM GSR motor into his 1998 civic DX. We're stumped over the wiring issue. We have the stock civic wiring harness, we also have the motor harness from the GSR motor.
What would be the easiest route to wire the motor? I would think by using the stock harness then converting over a few things like the distributor and injectors (anything else???). The ecu being used is also OBD1, he does have the OBD2-OBD1 jumper harness though so that's not an issue.

are you running the motor obd1 or obd2?
obd1: you need to rewire/elongate plugs to match but the harness should be fine. you'll also need a obd2>1 ecu harness
obd2: buy obd2 alt/dist/inj. might have to extend some sensors. everything should plug up though including ecu.
this basically seems to be the way it works
