I just got into an accident last tuesday.. I got all my cosmetic taken care of, but im stuck on why my drivers side tire is sitting 2-4 inches back.. I replaced the axle and lower control arm.. any ideas?? heres the pic.

 

Is there any frame damage?
Did you check around the axles to see if anything looked out of place or bent?
If it was pushed back a few inches then something isn't aligned right..

Check again and look into the littlest detail.

 

jack it up and take a bunch of pics. somethings bent/broken.

 

no frame damage at all. nothing looks bent or broken.. but i will take pics.

 

if the wheel is sitting back to far then something is bent.

 

 

Did you get the whole control arm or just the back portion? It looks like the front part, the straight peice that connects to the hub might be bent. Because to me it looks like your shock is tilted forward which would coincide with a bent arm. also you tie rod needs to be changed.

 

i haven't changed anything as of yet. I was looking at some things today and took the pics. when i took the tie rod off, I could not get it aligned back up straight with out putting like it was.

 

Thank you alphalanos. A new lower control arm fixed it. time for an alignment.
