Default Removing DC2 trunk

My 96 LS was involved in a hit and run when a lifted trunk hit my trunk and pusseh it in, luckily the only thing i need to replace is the trunk and the bottom molding. How do I remove the trunk and is there any easy way to redo the wiring for the new trunk?

so a Trunk hit your Trunk? was this an Elephant trunk? if not what kind of trunk was it?

Let me translate your question....

My 96 LS was involved in a hit and run when a lifted truck hit my trunk and pushed it in, luckily the only thing i need to replace is the trunk lid and the bottom molding. How do I remove the trunk lid and is there any easy way to redo the wiring for the new trunk lid?

Replacing a trunk lid is fairly simple and you probably dont need to replace any wiring, just take it off the old one before you take off the old trunk lid. Theres probably 4 bolts that hold on the trunk lid, you may or may not need to release the tension of the trunk tension bars before doing this...

Now lets Translate it in to what it sounds like youre saying

dude, IMPO that was totally unnecessary, the OP misspelled two words and on top of it, it was his first post ever. to the OP, welcome to honda-tech.

yes you'll have to disconnect the wiring and the strut bars before removing the 4 bolts that hold the hatch in place. youre gonna need an extra hand. the wiring is simple, just re-route it using the old hatch set up as a guide.
