Default What can I use for packing a muffler

I'm making a muffler and is there anything local I can use for packing? Is there any difference between fiberglass mat for body work and motorcycle packing material?

thanks

I use the steel wool our Moms use to clean dishes. I have a local 99 cents store near me that sells 20 for 99c about 20 bucks gets me a full muffler . Works great, sounds awesome! I have yet to get a bad reaction to the way it sounds. I was told this trick by an old school race car driver.

Cheap, convenient and works great!
