Hey guys, i have a question on tweaking my car and about the d4, d3, 1, 2
I have a 4th gen accord, i was wondering if there is anyway to tighten a bolt here, unscrew something there, to maybe, just maybe get some better performance out of my car before i recieve my aem cai intake in the mail.
Also, I was driving my car on the freeway today, and i was going up a hill and i noticed that my gas pedal was all the way on the floor, and i was going 58-60 its a 93 honda accord. The hill wasnt exactly that big and high, so it got me a little woried, but i think its just the power of car, cmon anyone with tweaks...., but anways its a 4 speed automatic, and i dont know **** about cars yet, but i want toknow, like when im going uphill what should i have it in, d4, d3? and downhill? theres also, 1, 2, im not sure what those are, i hear that if you how to drive your car in the right gears your car can last longer, so i really would like this information, thanks so far you guys have been a major help to me, in advance, thank you.

change a fuel filter, clean the fuel system, check your downshift cable if it is not wotking right it will not shift properly
it might just be that my fuel injectors were really dirty...but i noticed a little bit better response when i used that fuel injector cleaner stuff....and you won't get much power out of loosening bolts....unless of course it is something unneeded that will reduce some weight....
What about the different gears, and anyone w/ possible tweaks, thanks guys.
Nothing is as simple as tightening a bolt here, and loosening a screw here. NOTHING!
The gear you have it in depends on your speed and rpm.
You were going so slow for probebly a number of reason. Air temp, altitude, state of your car, tire size, etc.
Your car is automatic, so the transmission should select the ideal gear for your driving environment.
1 only allows your car to drive in first gear.
2 only allows your car to drive in second gear, even from a dead stop.
D3 Allow your car to drive through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, but does not allow for 4th gear
D4 Allow the sequential shifting through all the gears.
