Default F22 to replace H22?

I was wondering if I could use the F22A Motor and Tranny to replace my current H22 Motor and Tranny. Will it be a direct drop in? Anything that I need to change? Thanks and let me know.

Agreed, it's basically the same thing, just double check to make sure the F series has a cable shift setup instead of a linkage.

There's also a little wiring difference. There should at least be 2 wires that need to be swapped at the ECU, one being an O2 sensor wire.

I already have another O2 sensor for the H22. Do you mean that I need to swap them around or that I need to get one put in?

What's the difference between a cable shift and linkage? The motor that I am getting goes into 90-93 Accords and 92-95 Preludes.

dont the f22's have an external coil for the distributor? I say that 'cuz when we swapped my cousin's accord to h22, we had to use the old external coil on the h22 to start the car until we re-wired a little...

As for the mounts and all that stuff, as long as they are both 5 speed or both automatics, it will be a direct drop in.

Nope, just one of the wires for the O2 sensor is in a different pin of the ECU.

You need to switch the wires of A6 & A11. With the H22A ecu (P13), A6 is an O2 sensor wire & A11 is a wire for the EGR, but with the Accord ecu, A6 is an EGR wire & A11 is an O2 sensor wire.

Thanks for the info! I have a chipped P28 so I'm guessing that the wiring is similar to the prelude one?

Yup. You shouldn't need to do any wire switching then.

90-93 f22 trannies use different mounts from 96+ f22 trannies. But all h22 trannies use the same mounts as 96and up f22 trannies. so get you mounts right. as for everything else, no wiring what so ever.

Thanks for the info guys. I just attempted to do the wiring and have found multiple connectors that are not connected to anything, a few which are supposed to be plugged into the dizzy. The dizzy in the F22A1 is external, and the H22A is internal. If what you guys are saying is correct about the wiring harness not needing any changes, can someone point me in the right direction on doing an external to internal coil swap? Thanks.
