What cat to buy for Y8 exhaust mani on Y7 96 CivicDX ?
I am replacing the stock (cracked) Y7 exhaust manifold/cat on the 96 CivicDX with a Y8 manifold and downpipe.
I will need to buy a cat to put in-between the new downpipe and the rest of the stock DX exhaust. What cat should I buy?
What cat-to-tailpipe kit would I buy to get all the parts replaced at once?
This car is a daily driver with a stick. I definitely don't need a coffee can or whatever but if there's a simple performance/efficiency upgrade I'd do it.

What I did in my old 97 DX coupe, I used the Y8 exhaust manifold and since I had a 99-00 Si cat, mid pipe, and muffler I used that and it was a perfect fit. I also had to extend one of my o2 sensor wires.

OK, I want to do exactly what you did.
Who do I need to give my credit card to? Can't I buy stock OEM pieces from somewhere cheap?
I looked at http://www.inlinefour.com but that's all stainless / titanium / huge and not suited to what i'm working with.

Try the classifieds, local junk yards, ebay, etc. Get used OEM parts since they are cheaper. You can use either 96-00 Civic EX or 99-00 Si Cat/piping/muffler
there are companies that make O2 extensions as well, DC sports offered one. Im sure others do as well.. Just get any EX exhaust
