Passenger side axle gap (tranny side)
I have a serious vibration/wobble in my passenger side wheel that I believe is linked to my axle not being butted up against the tranny
Quick Overview..........When installing the passenger axle I pushed it in all the way until it "clicked". It's not leaking tranny fluid. Although there is still a small gap between the inner joint and the actual tranny case. Probably the width between these two lines | | . I remember initially when I took the axle out that the inner hub was actually touching the transmission. Now it is not and when I tug on it it won't come out per se, but it is a bit loose.
Anyone know if this gap is normal?? Also, I've had myself and two other ppl pushing it into the tranny to close the gap and it won't budge any closer. I don't want to damage the internals of the transmission, but I feel this vibration could be dangerous as I've had to retorque my lugs twice now because of it.
Thanks and about
's to anyone who can help me solve this

You are using the correct axle?
If oil is not leaking from the axle seal, then only trans damage that might occur is a broken axle spline inside the diff. Usually the axle will pop out while driving (if not fully installed) before this happens.
When installed fully, the axle will have some in and out play so the gap isn't the best way to judge.
Did you change wheels or anything else that could cause it? Ryan (coolhandluke) had a vibration issue that caused him to have to stop and retorque his lug nuts several times en-route to Expo. Turned out the wheels he was running for the event had a hubcentric ring that didn't allow the wheel to seat properly on the hub.
