Default starting issues.

Searched, couldn't find anything substantial to my problem.

Swapped a d16a6 into my '89 HF, been working fine. Idles nicely, runs nicely, no problems. Tightened up the clutch/flywheel cover on the bottom of the block/tranny and it proceeded to not start. I turn the key in the ignition and the fuel pump kicks in and primes the rail. Main relay not an issue at this point. However, when I turn the key to start the car, nothing happens--the dash doesn't click out and no relays hit. Wondering which relay and the location for the starter. Starter is fine, haven't had any problems with it, jumped it outside the car. Wanting to know if it's a bad relay somewhere or a possible wiring problem/something worse.

Any help is appreciated.

i dont think theres any realays for that. its probably your ignition switch. try a spare one if you got one or one off a friends car. it screws into the back of the ignition lock where you put your key then theres 2 plugs. can you start it with a screwdriver on the starter or push start it?

if it push starts and you know for a fact the starter is good then dont bother with the screw driver. im gona bet its your ignition switch.
