Fuel pump wont stop!!
1993 del sol si d16z6 5 speed
When I turn the key forward but dont crank it I get no check engine light for about 30 seconds then it pops on. the fuel pump is pushing gas constantly as soon as the key is turned when it should normaly kick off after a couple of seconds. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this. I am showing a #8 code top dead center sensor and have replaced the distributer and the main relay for the fuel. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm not a 1993 Del Sol Si expert, but...
AFAIK, the fuel pump timeout (if you will) when you turn the 'key forward but don't crank it' is controlled by the ECU. So, I'd start there!
Just a wild *guess* but maybe your ECU went wonky or something...
