Fixing rims with some curb rash?
I have an 04 s2000 and two of the rims have a little bit of curb rash. I bought multiple grit sand papers and I was going to sand down the effected area, fill with bondo, sand, and paint over. Has anyone had any first hand experience with fixing and painting these rims? I am trying to get some ideas on what paint, how many coats, and how many clear coats I should apply.

somehow i dont think sandpaper will properly take care of curb rash... ur gonna have to file down or grind it down... your best bet is to take it to a professional... if its gonna cost around $300 for 2 rims, you might as well have all 4 of them powder coated... i had some rash on my rims before hand and the dude that did them for me took care of them... just a heads up...
i painted my stokers i cant help with the rash cause i didnt have much nore did i care. anyways i prolly did like 3 coats of paint and 2 couts of clear. u might want to wet sand them after with a 1500 grit and buff it so they shine good and clean easy.

i work for a dealership and we have a sublet wheel repair company that comes by. i asked them about fixing the curb marks on my ap2v1 wheel and they said they're unable to correctly repair them onsite. they would have to send it in because of the "machine finish". pricing was about $100 per wheel and company is called "velvet touch"

yeah...
back in the day i bought an 82 honda accord... it was like a light blue... not as gay as suzuka but pretty bad... i decided i couldnt have this car look like this so i purchased 10 cans of gloss black spray paint and rattled the car... i taped off the glass and tried to do it "professionally"... it came out pretty good... then i thought to myself, how can i make this car even sicker... LIGHT BULB!!! ill paint the emblems and hub caps gold... the car came out looking pretty good... not to mention it had 2 jl 12" subs in a powerwedge box, powered by a 1000 watt phoenix gold amp, 6x9 polk db's in boxes and polk db 4" in the front with a nice pioneer headunit... total cost for the car... $400, total cost for the system... $1800... that thing bumped like a mother [freak]er though...

^ i was never big on audio. I had a 12" e-tytpe in my teg with nice sonny exlode speackers and headunit. I got sick of it after a month so I took out everything. And even got the stock radio to put back into the car but never got around to it. The only thing ive done to my S was upgrade the speackers and thats it. When i get a hardtop i might get the speackers for the headrests
