Default Rims? Interior?

Okay, whats up everyone. I need some advice on what type of rims that would look good on my car. Aside from that, maybe some interior help as well. This is my first car so I want to try and get everything right ya know? Thanks guys.

There's caps on the pics, but I'll take engine pics later then I'll ask HT about that

And should I lower it?

CTR Grill?

Clean? or needs more work

Most everyone is gonna tell you to go for your own look. Which is true.

I personally like Blades on that car.

1. Lower it.
2. Blades.
3. Front lip.
4. ???
5. Profit!

p.s. Head to the Appearance & Cosmetics forums to get ideas.

as Mike"IAMSLOW"Myers said, it's all about what you want. it's not about what other people think look good on your car. YOU need to be happy with it. On that note, a budget idea would be good. if you are tryin to keep it fairly inexpensive, i like some si rims or gsr rims. if price doesn't matter, i'd go with some blades or something equally cool. best bet there is to just search til you find what you like.

As for the lowering it, i would, but only if you are a good driver, and I don't mean just telling yourself you are, because too many people slam their cars and then hit everything in the way because they don't pay attention or don't slow down and trash their cars. if you are looking for lowering springs check out k2motors.com they have some good ones for around $100, i thought they'd be crappy, but i rode in a car that had them, they feel fine.

As for the interior, I'm not a big fan of the tan color, so i changed mine to black, check out my eg thread in my sig, it shows how i changed the door panels to black and all. it all depends what you want though, I am going to finish updating my eg thread tonight and then you can see some of the things i did, shortshifter, type r shift ****, added a center console. I am working on a budget so I have been doing minor things.

check these out

scroll down on this one and you will see a whole mess of links of things to do for interior mods.

It's best to come up with a budget, a planned use, and a theme for your car; the rest will follow from there. What works with one theme may not work with another. The decision to lower it is one such example - lower cars ride more stiffly, which is not much of a problem if you're in a Southern town with well maintained streets, but in a Midwestern city with ice-potholed roads and never enough money to fix them, a slammed car with super low profile tires is going to suck as a daily driver. I'm not sure how bad the roads are in Washington State.

I've been thinking about Kosei K1s for my EG Civic if I don't cheap out and buy some stock Integra alloy rims, but I think the K1 TS might look a little better on the EK:

They're budget friendly, light weight, and look right for a Civic that's on an autocross grid or just looking like a hopped up street car.

Your interior is very clean. Get some OEM floor mats. As for the outside, I think it would look good with some tint, maybe a Type R grille(even though a lot of people do this, but it looks nice.) Wheels are up to you but I think 15/16" wheel is the best. Any bigger is just dumb. And like they said lowering is kind of dependent on your area. Is the roads are nice and smooth , go for it. If they suck, dont do it.

#1 rule when modifying/repairing your car: Always always go for the good quality parts. OEM, or a good reputable aftermarket brand. If you want your money to be well spent make sure you research alot. Also try not to rip out anything, break, throw away any of your original parts. you will regret it later when you want that function or part back in your car. Good luck and have fun with it.

Ha, nice shopping list

ShopList:
Mugen Lip (gettin`)
Mugen Valve Cover (later)
DIY paint or VHT tints (headlights;doin`)
Black Housing Headlights (depends on DIY and VHT)
CTR or Replica grill (gettin`)
JDM badges(gettin`)

I'd say save your $ and buy a 99-00 Si and start from there and sell the green car.

Ahhhh those fake "Mugen" lips are awful. The only car that lip belongs on is a 99-00. It will look horribly out of place on a 96-98 as the design was not meant for that car. Also there is no such thing as a Mugen valve cover for that car (since it has a SOHC), so that's fake (read: ricey) too. And what the heck are JDM badges? If you mean red ones....save your money for something better! Definitely do the CTR/Si grille. Look into a 96-98 CTR lip (a real CTR lip, that is). Definitely don't spray the headlights black. Either leave them stock, buy real CTRs, or decent CTR replicas if that's your budget (CTRs have a light reflective gunmetal housing that looks much better).

Just my $.02

Hang out on the board for a while before spending money. Get a feel for what's out there. Look through threads like this and you'll find lots of ideas.

That car has potential all depends on your budget dah.....
In the exterior you can A LOT, while in the interior not that much:

Racing Seats
CTR door inserts
Cluster
B pillar bar
shift ****

Don't paint the plastic parts (in my opinion)
...but in the end is your project; do what u want and be happy
