A/C line/hose wear from short ram? Difficult to replace a/c lines?
I was trying to find where my a/c lines were leaking today and narrowed it down to the lines going from the front of the car to the firewall. Upon closer inspection I noticed that there were 2 holes in the insulation. Upon further inspection I realized that my short ram intake have been rubbing up against it causing wear on the insulation and the metallic line underneath. I've had the intake for about 2 years now. Just started having issues withmy a/c.
Did anyone else have this issue with their intakes rubbing on there a/c lines?
How difficult is it to replace the hi and low pressure lines that run front to firewall? A shop quoted me $550 to replace all of the lines, price not including lines, just labor and the dryer. So I kind of want to avoid that.

Just happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Real easy job , just remove everything around the lines and replace. By now all your Freon should have leaked out, so there will be no need of evacuation. Once you replace the lines, use this link to recharge. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1665946
Just go to your local junk yard and get the lines you need. Ran me $15 for the HI side.
Good luck

AWESOME! Thank you! That is exactly what I needed to hear since everything else seems to be breaking.
The hi side is the thinner pipe correct? Is there a specific name? I think its Pipe C according to the Acura Diagrams. Its really hard to tell. I may do the Lo side just in case since there is a bit of fluids/dye on both insulation.

Yes, the Hi side line is the one smaller in diameter. Pipe C is HI, you'll just have to explain it to whoever is pulling the part unless you pulling it yourself.
