we did some initial testing in Bradenton yesterday, solid trouble free day.

completely new setup so we have a lot to learn

2.0l b18c1, 72mm turbo, g-force gearset, 26" slicks, motec m800, the usual...

we ran a 9.76 @ 154 mph on the 2nd hit on the car.

the 4th hit on the car was going to be an even better pass but 4th gear didn't want to engage so Ferguson coasted to a 9.97 @ 114 mph pass.

we have pinpointed a couple of things that need attention and will be working on fixing those issues and continue to go quicker and faster.

How is Bradenton's track prep? Probably the only track in Florida i haven't been to.

the track is usually pretty good -- i love going to bradenton on Saturday's to test when they are open because there aren't many people there -- i think there were like 45 total cars there so you can pretty much run as much as you want and we never get stressed waiting in long lines, etc

 

pretty good does 2nd gear look a bit sluggish or is it just me..

yeah that is one of the problems we need to address -- bogging down in 2nd gear, falling out of boost

 

Hopefully once that is fixed it should go smoother

 

Just looks like it fell out of boost on the shift, just goes to show there is alot left in the setup!

I might have to drive up and check it out sometime, since Moroso is closed it's the closest 1/4 mile to us.

the fourth pass looked to be a 9.5x or so pass buy the et and trap speed letting out.

 

great first runs and I love how "street" the car still looks. cleann simple

sounded like you only needed 3 gears for that pass.
