i have 93 ls idk if i shuld bulid the ls vtec or just swap out to another moter my friend boosted his gsr and lost a little power of the moter but did a ls v swap and held up better with the boost so sumone give me some advice

Just because your friend had one experience doesnt say much. What you should do is up to what you want to do. Both setups have potential and can be reliable, but Id have to say the ls/vtec is the more complicating route to take.

Finish out school first, especially English class. Then take a look around on the site. There are millions of threads about this exact topic.

 

i'd do the swap. i was looking into lsvtec, but i found out that it was pretty expensive to make it reliable. now i just wanna go ls-t
