stick to AEM EMS or Greddy UL.

sorry being a new member and disagreeing with a vetren of the site but i own an
AP1 S2000 and after weeks of waiting on a harness for a Greddy E-Management Ultumate system, which i thought was the best, but now it's my opinion it's best for yoders and nissan's. no matter how many different kinds of tunes we fed into it the car ran horrible an today, we literally adjusted the timing over 25+/- and degrees and the car ran the exact same way every time, constant slack, major backfire, super rich a/f ration, and a honda racers worst nightmare, NO VTEC!!! so either it's a defective unit, or harnass bc my stock ecu and engine runs perfect. therefore i'm selling the E-Management and going with the full stand alone S300 Hondata unit under the advice of a 15 year+ Honda/Acura Master Tec, and he tells me all that all the basics required for this to be possible is an OBDII bypass to an OBDI along with his professional tuning the S300 should work just as well if not better than the Greddy system, it should be going in tomorrow. ill keep you posted on how things go and wish my honda good luck baby, later

^^^Your honda/acura "master tech" is full of ****. They don't make an S300 for the S2000. They make the k-pro unit using an RSX donor ecu, but your "pro tuner" probably already knows that and figures it makes complete sense to buy a $1800 k-pro setup, plus another couple hundred for the sensors you need to convert over for it to work.

http://www.hondata.com/s2000kpro.html

Your first mistake was thinking the greddy system was the best. That shows you take the short bus as your daily.

To the OP, get an AEM Standalone 1052 or 1052U for $1000-1200 and be done with it.

lol! did you expect anything less, esp. when you said you were disagreeing with a vetern of the site.....but yea just get the aem. k-pro isn't worth the extra cash. esp. since it isn't even really designed for the s2k, hondata just threw something together to make it work. not saying it isn't a good system and isn't functional, but aem was designed with the s2k in mind.

AEM wasn't designed with the S2000 in mind, its a standalone for pritty much any build/make/motor.

Frankly, I think the Kpro system is a better overall product. Look at this thread.

run on sentences FTL. periods for the win (at least in a grammar sense).

p.s. nice thread jack about your "baby", but make your own thread if you want to "keep us posted" (as if it's really that serious that we're all on the edge of our seat waiting for your outcome.)

and PLEASE, make sure your info is correct before posting nonsense about an s300 on your s2000

enjoy your stay! you should check out s2ki, i bet you'd enjoy it more

well it isnt really that hard to pick an EMS. Im pretty sure you knew what ems to use before you actually started working on the car. the OP obviously didnt even bother searching what ems would work best for his setup. the reason why he thinks the S300 will work

it's not that he's slow, it's that he listened to his "Honda/Acura master tech"

Anyone who calls themself that cannot be too familiar with aftermarket mods, I'm sorry. I bet the dude works at a dealer too.
