ok i'm kinda new here i got a 94 ex coupe with jdm itr swap had it for about 3 month in the car, had to rebuild the trany syncros and now i got a problem

i can hear a ticking noise from the motor but not loud (i had d16 before and bottom end came out started knocking louder and louder untill i pulled it out well this sound is different but i'm scared ) it comes from the back part on driver side ,,first i thought maybe valve clearence since it older and probably been in ware house for a while got the specs for b18c1 from the dealer they didn't have the b18c5 or my b18c spec i figured it whould be the closest ,well done that got .17mm intake and .19mm exhaust still the sound didn't go away and the idle is whorse then ever i need help honda guys help

maybe someone had same or have any clue what it is

well injector pulses can sometimes sound like valve taps but it could be worse and be a rod bearing...does it get louder as you drive?

no it doesn't and also it sounds like ticking noise and the rpm jump from normal 8-900 to 1600 then it seems like it chokes over at 4000 rpm almost no power it kinda dies over there // how can i check the injectors should i unplug them pull them out connect them to their connectors and try to start it up and see if it sprays ? or how can i because it seems like it comes from alternator or smthn but i got told that alternators don't knock they eather work or don't

Sounds to me like something didn't get hooked up correctly when the transmission was reinstalled. I dont think your real problem is with the tick but the fact it won't rev over 4k.

Does the ecu throw any codes?
