Swapping from H22 back to Stock
So I've been reading on the forums that you have to grind down the tranny mount (plate) to get the H22 swap bolted into the car. I am going to revert back to a SOHC and was wondering what I would do to get around this, as well as anything else that I will need to change.
So far, I know that I'll need a complete SOHC swap, as well as mounts, but I'm not sure where to go from there. Thanks and let me know.

Depending on how the shifter was mounted, there could be a large hole in the floor over your exhaust tunnel. If this has been cut, the d-series shift linkage has nothing to bolt onto and will not work without extensive modification. Same with the passenger trans mount, it will need to be re-made out of sheet metal.
Damn it, it was a straight H22 swap and the floor was cut up so that the shift linkage and plate could be put into place. I was going to revert back to the D series because of gas prices these days but it looks like I'll just have to take the daily more. Pierce Transit FTW !
