My ITR have yellow koni on lowest perk and stock springs, and I am very satisfied with that setup. It was the previous owner that changed from H&R spring on stock shocks - Omnipower sport coilover - current setup. He also used the car quite often on track, and was very pleased with this setup.
I have used my car on track 2 times so far, and it seems to work very good. On street I use soft setting on both front and rear. On track soft up front and hard at the rear. I am sure my car have a bit more body roll than using a typical coliover, but in my opinion it doesn't effect traction and grip any particulary

Koni FTW.
The off the shelf or revalved Koni yellows are a great match for the ITR. There's no coincidence that most of the guys in Topeka are running them and winning national titles in Solo II.

I have KY at all corners on an otherwise stock suspension. When I first got them, had grooves machined in middle between stock and the lower groove from Koni. Car was lowered about 18 mm. Body roll was significantly reduced, but the perfect stock balance turned into horrific understeer - not cool for AX duty ! If you don't run the fronts full-soft, the car will push quite badly - this setting is basically equivalent to the stock front shocks. I run the rears full-stiff for AX, which does help the car turn better in transitions (ie slaloms), but have to run 1/4 turn under full-stiff on street for comfort.
On stock springs, I would recommend the rears strongly if you AX. I would think twice about getting fronts unless your stock units are shot...

thanks for the info and pic zeta.
Yup, i always believed a good pair of springs and a set of Koni's can match a lot of high end coilover systems.
