JRSC PROBLEMS, can anyone help.
A year ago I bought a ITR with JR supercharger, the guy of which I bought it from
took good care of it he had 6000miles on it after I bought it.
7 months after I bought it, the supercharger just froze after the weekend race as we didn't know what happened we took of the supercharger and checked what happened.
We found out that the intakemanifold where the supercharger is fixed (at the Bolt holes )on was cracked,
the bolts which were supposed to hold the manifold and supercharger together, one of them was broken and was fallen into the SC which stopped the rotors from running. We completely took the SC apart and it seems the SC housing was also
cracked. Can you guys tell me if this is a warranty case? As it propably run 15 miles all together. It was running 5psi of boost which Jackson recommended.
( can overheating be the problem? )
Because I already made my turbo purchase, my plan was to sell the JRSC cause I was not totally satisfied with the performance. This will be quite a big problem, tough Jackson gives me a special discount on purchasing a new SC but still it will cost me a lot of money what I didn't expected.
Your help will be highly appreciated, thanks a lot

I don't recall what the warranty is off-hand. Call JacksonRacing and ask for Shawn. He's by far the coolest customer rep they have. If he can't help you, don't expect anyone at JR to be sympathetic.

sounds to me like the guy just said he took good care of it. installer error may have a part in its demise. the place that installed mine (St. Andre's) forgot to use loctite on the bolts in the manifold and they basically popped out. I found out cuz i heard a wistle noise from a vacuum leak... and i checked it out. Now, luckily the bolts on the INSIDE were ok cuz those woulda been suck on into the engine.
It does sound like an installation problem. I'm sure Jackson racing will be less than helpful, They are not quick to help when it is there fault.
Send it to Endyn, he can rebuilt it and upgrade it also, it will then be better than before and you can run alot more boost. I have been installing supercharger kit since the first Jackson released for the CRX , And the Endyne upgrade is by far the best thing you can do to your Blower..... Good Luck !

yeah try Jackson and talking to Shawn.
However most likely they will try to sell you a new setup. However I'll tell you this if you have the blower fixed or repaired (which jackson will probally say to try) then it will cost around $700-900 (give or take $50). If the intake manafold is busted then that will be an cost cost also. New blower caseings are around $200, new rotors are $380 or $70 (35 each rotor) to repair if possible and if the nose is damaged then that could be around 75-200 pending the damage, also labor is around $70-140 pending the work. So around 700-900 pending the damage. And those prices are from the offical place that repaires all the blowers.

I don't think it's worth repairing now, unless it's fixed within warranty.
Maybe the installer overtorqued the bolts, causing the cracks....
Maybe you can sell it to TCC (a JRSC fan)....

thanks for the info!
But how can a bolt fall into SC unit, just a bad construction in comparison to
the D16 SC system which has bolts on the outside instead of inside.
I will just contact them and try to get a new one, otherwise send it over to Endyn.

Jackson has a 1year/100,000 miles warranty...if it's longer than a year, good luck...sorry to hear about that, at least it didn't take the engine with it.
