DIY Roll Cage EJ1
hey guys so im 16 and jobless,( i cant buy one ) so i got into a summer welding class offered by my school district, so i thought why not make a roll cage, i drive a 94 coupe with full interior. I tried looking already for a DIY guide for a roll cage, i'd like to keep my interior as much as possible and still be street legal. any info on how to make one, or any specs would be great ! thanks

I'm interested in the same thing. It would be nice to find some cage kits with all the cuts in them so they just need to be welded together. The requirements for the cage will depend on it's purpose - i.e. road racing, drag racing, etc....

i would not take on a roll cage as your first project if your just starting to learn how to weld there is alot involved and if you want it to fit right its going to take alot of time if you want to keep your interior. plus a roll cage isnt really street legal plus its a pain in the rear to have one in a daily driver. just my five cents good luck.

Yup... swracecars.com... I didn't realize that everyone and their mom has a drag roll cage kit for honda civics....
Does anyone have a kit for road racing? Like NASA, etc....

Roll cage in a DD car? Not superb. Illegal in my state, check your local DOT laws.
