Default chipped ecu Q

well before i installed the chipped p28 ecu, i was running my stock p28 with a vafc ( personally tuned ) and it pulled. i have a z6 with a fully rebuilt head with oem parts in a 89 hatch converted over to obd1. well heres my question. after i installed the chipped ecu. i didn't feel any difference besides a higher rev limit, 9k but i'm not that stupid.. is it possible that the settings that i had for my p28 ecu with the vafc, transferred to the chipped ecu? please let me know if this is possible. thanks

it def wouldn't have transfered any data....sounds like the chip is doin what its supposed to do..get rid of your rev and speed limiter...im guessing you re still running the vtec controller so take it out than you'll see the difference (i don't mean that in a good way it shouldn't run as good if you unplug it)

LOL noobs
man thats would be really dumb to disable your revlimiter its there for a resaon, but i would eliminate the speed limiter for sure.send me a set-up list of what u have and if u have a buner ill send a a decent base for your motor.if u dont have a burner ill burn your base on a freash SST and ill send it to ya for 10 bucks.

the guy claimed the p28 was chipped for a b18c1 with basic bolt ons. vtec @5100 (good enough for d-series) and redline at 9k (useless unless i got a built engine and was roadracing). but thank you guys for responding. i'm not very familiar with ecu tuning yet but in the future i would like to PM you zccr-xsi. thanks again

i know for a fact if u had i nice z6 basemap u would feel a world of differance in your car.see the dual cams need little more fuel to run in or out of vtec.if u ever seen fuel maps for lets say a b16 and compare it to your z6 fuel maps i woud see what im talking about.same with the ign map theres differnces in them too.what that kid who did your ecu should have taken that p72 rom (gsr ecu)and put z6 maps on it.so u can still use the l/c and features like that.pm me give me a set-up list and ill make u a base for your car.ill burn it on a chip and send it out to ya for 10 bucks.and are you ot of your miond reving a z6 to 9500 lol that motor wont last long i wouldnt even take a z6 to 8500. NOT SMART
