Default About to purchase my first set of wheels...Need some opinions.

The usual Work Meister S1 3-piece....

225/40/18x8 +49
255/35/18x9.5 +55

Planning to pull/roll fenders. Run 'some' negative camber.
Can't decide on gloss black or matte black. Will be going on a SS S2k.

Very similar to this car (picture a more aggressive setup)

Opinions, comments, concerns?

Some examples:
Gloss black:

How about a sick *** S15?

On this car:

EDIT: Decided on Matte Black. Deposit already sent. 90 day wait starts. JLB Motorsports

Found a nice pic:

Kinda worries me you call them the "usual" I know they're not uncommon but you sound like you're already bored with them. Get something unique done to them.......

Edit: Realized you have a Silverstone so you've already settled, so get whatever you want

I have only seen a couple sets in person. S1 Meisters are the classic wheels for an S2k. Everyone and their mom seems to have one...On the forums at least. You gotta admit, they make a sexy S2k even sexier.

I've gone through several wheels with my DC2....But I have my heart set on the Meisters (already dropped the deposit...Just gotta make up my mind between Gloss or Matte Black).

they are nice....but getting kinda played out

it depends on your plans for the car...they're a "classier" type wheel, which IMO doesn't look right w/ a spoon/j's front, etc

It does seem like they are getting played out...But in all seriousness. How many have you seen in person? I'm not planning to go with any wild front ends anytime soon. Sticking with my 04 front/oem lip.

Why roll the fenders? Because of the sizing that I picked.

18x8 +49, 18x9.5 +55
I like riding low and tucking some tires.

It is one of the only sets of 18s that look good on a S2k; 16" center spokes, perfect for the brakes.

Meisters are gorgeous wheels..

PS: I see Meisters in all colors/shapes/forms often here in SoCal...... BUT never get tired of them.

You don't need to roll/pull fenders. Run 215/35/18 and 225/40/18 on those and you'll have all kinds of room.

I've decided to go with matte black. it would go well with my ss car.
I rock 225 & 245 on my stock 16s

Trust me if you put a 225 on there you're not gonna die, unless you drive like a jackass.
It's not like the car all of a sudden driving on ice.

Why not run a safer offset I run +5t6 and +62 on my gloss blacks. And +1 on being one of the only sets that look good on an s2k. If I didn't have these I would be running some 10.5in BBS LMs. I run 225f and 265r tires no issues

Where do you guys recommend purchasing these wheels for the best price? A vendor on S2ki forums quoted me at 2700 shipped, 3 month wait.

Too streched for me. Good stuff. SSR Professors. I was about to get one in 17s but the 18 S1s just look better to me.

You're talking about Riley on s2ki? Yeah I inquired with him. $2500 shipped for me from him. I'm actually getting a better deal on here from JLB Motorsports! Comes with tires!

Yeah you'll have the same setup as me with you're width/offset. Those are 18's above.

not me...the whole low offset to run a huge lip makes no sense IMO...looks like some damn chico'd out lowrider but instead of 13" daytons they're 18" works

i just don't get it, and think it looks like booty...but differing opinions is what mixes things up, keeps things blended

it's your money, do what you like

p.s. gloss black > matte black

+49 and +55 isn't even considered low.
It is my money and I'm buying what I want. Your comparison of daytons to works is just stupid. The lip on the rear is not even huge. Get your head out of your *** mmmk thanks
