Anybody run any additives or anything?
Anybody run anything like ZMax, ProLong, MotorUp, Slick50 or anything like that??
I ran ProLong in my old camaro, and it got rid of a lifter tap that i had, improved my gas mileage, and gave it more power... Just curious... Plus I'm bored...

Oil is oil and snake oil is snake oil. If oil needed it, it would be in there. There was a prolong test at UTI when I was there. Built and engine added oil and prolong, removed oil, started engine and watched it blow the **** up. They talked to prolong and all of a sudden no instrucotr would talk about it and Prolong was a major financial supporter of UTI. We didnt even have it in a car, let alone drive a viper around a race track in the desert with no oil. BS. I have heard that there is definetly a difference in oil temp though. That is a good thing, so is an oil cooler.
Running an engine without oil? This is seriously in the instructions for use? My God! Common sense...
I've heard of ZMAX with lynkite (sp?), don't know about it's use though..

Oil companies put their own additivies in their oil, if it were that important and easy the oil companies would find out and put it in the oil themselves.
Fuel aditivies can be benifical from time to time, to clean up carbon and provide some lubrication for vavle stems and valves.
