Brake question
Hi guys, I'm new here and I have a question some of you may be able to help me with. My front brakes are shot and it is time for new rotors/pads. The back brakes appear to be ok as they obviosly don't take as much of a beating. I am looking into new cross drilled or slotted rotors for my replacement but I will also consider simple vented rotors if they are the best. I was wondering if any of you have had problems with warping or short pad life on these types of brakes and i was also wondering if they give any increase in performance with regards to stopping distances or fade resistance. I was told you have to use special pad compounds with these different types of rotors or else they can destroy a stock pad in under 3 weeks. The rotors I am looking at are made by brembo so I imagine they are of decent quality but am unsure. Also I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Will dirt and grime from winter driving affect their life if i was to go cross drilled.
Thanx

I got it for like $28 for the front rotors each, $20 for the rears, $80 for the front pads and like $50-60 for the rears..

I just drive street and go to work and stuff.. I don't have time to go to events anymore... I live in LA so more like stop and go street driving (but on the freeway) cuz of all the traffic lolz.. they've stood up well so far.. I've had them for maybe 5K? I forget what the mileage was when I put them in..
