Get a conversion harness from OBD2 to OBD1 and a p28 ECU. Then run a test pipe or remove the o2 sensor and plug it with a bolt.
Problem solved.

is that ALL that needs to be done? i know there is problems on my f23 coversion because of OBDII IACV has three wires and OBDI IACV has two.
i had to convert it to an OBDI IACV.
that was one of my ideas though just didnt reall know all that has to be done.

I've used the one from "o2simulator.com" on our 1995 neon (early odb-ii)..
Here is what the simulator sent to the pcm..

I would once in a while get a cel so they sent me a new simulator (free) and this is what it sent to the pcm.

It was very easy to install and I used it until I gave the car away (at 305k miles). I still had the cat... I used the simulator becuase it was cheaper than replacing o2 sensors. I kept hitting it with rocks (4 miles of dirt road every day, and I wasn't driving slow.. I lifted the car 2" so I could go fast on dirt).
Their site looks different but the pics of the simulators look like the one I bought from them...

so it works good?
this seemed like the easiest way.
but it seemed like no one had heard of them or used them.
i know that pre cat it should be 100-900 mV. i dont know what its sopposed to be post cat, but i guess it does work.
thanks so much for your input.

I just bought a o2 sensor simulator from o2simulator.com
quick question?
my car is a 97 honda civic cx with a D16y7.( oem manifold/cat cracked)
Im installing a header and getting rid of the cat.
my question is: Does the secondary sensor need to screw on the header or i can just leave it hanging on air. or i can just live it unplug.
do you have any installation pics and tips.
let me know

i havent installed one before, but it will go onto the secondary O2 wiring , not the primary. then u would be lying to the computer on how the engine is running, when u should be lying about how the "catatlytic converter, or lack of one" is working. so the actual O2 sensor wont even be there any more.
