Hi. I was hoping someone could maybe help me? My sister's 00 Civic EX auto just started having tranny problems yesterday. It has not given any problems, has not been slipping or anything either, fluid is full and clean. Car has 205k. Basically the you can drive the car about a half mile then the check engine light comes on and the "D4" light starts blinking and there is all of a sudden no power. I checked the check engine light code and it was "P1758" "Manf. Contrl. Transmission" . Do you think it is the transmission itself that is messed up, or a solenoid or something, or possibly the computer that runs the tranny? Do you know where that computer for tranny is located? I remember parting out a 94 Civic auto once and i think that computer may have been in the trunk possibly or maybe that was for ABS, i can't remember now?? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU
