So if two wheels look exactly the same, but one is made in Japan while the other is made in America, the JDM wheel looks nicer?

 

yea i agree with chris.. but i dont think those are JDM... show me what jap car those come stock on.. and i believe they are JDM wheels

 

JDM wheels = wheels made in Japan

Japanese OEM wheels = wheels off a JDM car

 

guess you havent been around hondas for that long...those are OOOLD school rims. from way back along with ssr super mesh, mugen m7's and gales, see who remembers those rims on the super fins, wish i still had 4x100's if i did i would take them.

I was gonna say the exact same thing.

 

it seems like a while ago. its not like they totally picked up and moved, its just that they stopped making the same quality stuff like they did before. now the name ssr isnt as rare as it was back then when the type x and schumachers where around. they are like enkei now, once japanese only... the name ssr or enkei dont seem appealing much anymore since they are available at ur local tirerack.com. i mean the rims are still probably good, but in my opinion id rather have volks.

 

Ohicee what you mean... yeah they aren't as good quality as before...more of a fan of the older ssr rims, especially the type x's and reverse mesh.

 

they never went down they probably come out the same factory as most racing harts, works and weds wheels. you guys are idiots for thinking that ssr went away they jus have too many subdivisions that they concentrate on other style rims.

a place called Autora (redondo beach+western)...Hiro Araki still owes me $$$ for them *i have not forgotten and will find or run into you one day...hehehe*

so what if a company goes main stream... you dont want to be ricey and choose a rim that no one has but is made of **** metal. ( rice, ha- ) i wouldnt mind going to pep boys and picking up some OZ's, you could drag the rims in dirt as long as you want and they would still outlast most rims on the market. btw, what rims are you guys talking about that brought SSR down? gotta remember the japanese have different tastes in styling. rarity schmarity, real racers dont car about looks, gimme some ten pound blackies and id be set. cuz remember the real JDM cockryders believe in function over fashion.

 

damn thats real oldskool, an EA on fins- shcweet!!! you musta been rollin around with all the '86's(corolla) with similar rims. that hiro araki dood must be a happy guy with those rims. btw, how much did they cost brand new?

 

ive seen that DA around, fins sho look good on a DA than on an EG. and those reverse mesh' look fawkin tiiite!! yous devo tek guys are shure fast , most crews in this area are bitches and dont step up. ah well it seems like ya'll got it on lock down though.
