Want to replace the rubber section to the fuel return line. The rubber is getting a bit mushy. Not the rubber hose that connects to the regulator, but the one at the back that goes back into the tank. Can you simply just lift the car up and pull the hose or do you have to drop the tank in order to pull to the hose?

You might need to take a look at what you are thinking of doing. Follow that line from the fuel rail to the other end of the rubber hose.

It goes to a hard metal line at the firewall so you only need to replace the rubber hose part. And don't take any chances and replace the clamps too.

I know that, but I'm talking about the one that is at the end of the hard fuel line that goes back into the fuel tank. It hooks to the round plate where the fuel pump hooks to, just need to know if I have to drop the tank to replace that rubber section.

 

I get you now. I haven't ventured there yet.
