Default headgasket thickness question (milled surfaces)

im building with a resurfaced b16 head and a decked b18b block w/ stock rods an rs machine pr3's

would it be safe to run a .03 headgasket?

the head was only resurfaced and has stock valves
the block will be milled the minimum amount possible (i havent gotten it back yet from the machine shop so i dont know how much is going to be taken off)

any insight would be helpful

please dont link to me the zeal calculator lol

Your best bet would be to clay it to be sure, but you'll probably be ok if you're running B16A cams. How big are the valve reliefs on those RS Machine pistons? You could always enlarge them a little if you needed to.

im not too sure about the reliefs

this would be my first engine build (i decided i wanted to learn something)

im using stock b16 cams

i threw the old headgasket away and i dont really want to ruin another just for claying but i know the procedure should be done.

basically im wondering if anyone with a milled block and head used a .03 and got away with it

thanks peeps
