B16a/B18c block differences

I have a B16 shortblock and access to everything from a B18c1 except for the block itself (i have the head, crank, pistons, rods, etc) Will b18c rods/pistons fit in the B16a? What will swap over and what won't? Would it just be best to build a b16a bottom end/b18c head? Thanks for the help.....hope its not stupid question.

Deck height is smaller for the b16. I dont think rods and pistons will fit, I think it reaches too tall. You would have higher compression if you use the b16 bottom end and the gsr head.
since the bore is the same, the pistons will work, but the b16 pistons are more compression. use those.
you could use the crank to get the 1.8, but you will need custom rods and that might be a little expensive. also since the deck hight is smaller, the rods will need to be smaller and that means the rod stroke ratio will be horrendous. probably worse than the ls. if you can afford this, i would also suggest a nice resleaving to make the sleaves stronger.
wait....if your ganna resleave it, why not resleave it to a bigger piston. then you wont be able to use the gsr pistons. oh man. my head is starting to hurt. i need to lie down......
