having some trouble with the em2

ok guys so i recently changed the t belt and water pump on my old em2 my moms new car after we swaped out the old belt and water pump we got a cel for crank positioning sensor and engine coolant temp sensor fixed the coolant temp sensor by just pluging it back in (forgot to put it back after puting the vc back on)
so thats one problem fixed i took the car for a test drive and as soon as i hit 3k rpm it felt like i slamed on the breaks so i took it home parked it let it sit over night the next day the cel was gone and car ran fine my moms been driving it for atleast a month with no problems at all then all of a sudden cel comes back for the cps she said that at 3k rpms it jerked really hard like she slamed the breaks or like it wasnt getting any gas
i havent had a chance to personally check the car out myself but any ideas on what to check out would be greatly appreciated
oh btw its an 01 lx 130k mi. on it
no mods except a short shifter
