Default Pictures of my camera mount

NOTE: The bolt you see where the mount is is gonna be replaced to day. It's a bit loose.

The bars were $5.37 ea at Home Depot for 36" in length.
Camera mount was on sale for $19.97 (Reg $37.99)

You'll see what a pain it is to get to the back seats if you need to load up your car

I was thinking that, but it's also fairly unecessary for the bar to extend to the outer headrest post, isn't it? I mean, if it just clamped around the one post, it could pivot a lot better, right?

The other thing I was thinking, is that reclining seats move around quite a bit when you are racing, and weight is shifted around. Seems to me, the picture quality will be pretty jittery, no?

Have you thought about what's going to happen to that camera if you HIT something?

As an instructor, I am not getting into another car with one of these half-assed camera mounts. Either they can get another instructor, take it out or park it.

yeah duck.

I don't think it's half *** IMO. Since your not going to get in MY, you needn't worry.

As for it extend across, I've seen film from both types of mounts, the extended way was a bit more stable. I the mount i have is adjustable, and so is the camera itself.

is that camera mount made by bogen? i bought the same damn thing for like $35!! i was thinking about making the box alluminum from one headrest to the other but i decided against it. the stability from my mount is pretty good, but i think for the most part it is because of modern technology [steady shot is wonderful]

Most of these camera mounts are fine for autocross or NASA-X, but not legal for Solo I or other higher speed events.

Cant use an axis to change the assenger seat angle without allowing for slop. I like the inginuity. Besides if hehits something, He would be more wooried about the crash than where the camera impacts.
