How to make Video Camera Mount
Anyone know how to make this? I remember someone made one of these, using a bar that connects to the passenger seat. I tried the search function, but no luck.
Thanks.
Thanks.

NOTE: The bolt you see where the mount is is gonna be replaced to day. It's a bit loose.
The bars were $5.37 ea at Home Depot for 36" in length.
Camera mount was on sale for $19.97 (Reg $37.99)
Side view #1 headrests down
View from mount
Front view
Side view #2 headrests up
let me scare you <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmilep.gif" BORDER="0">

if you have a bulky camera, you could just stuff it inbetween the headrest and seatback...that would be some good in-car footage :envisions camera angle as it flies out of the seat and tags driver in head :
maybe something that is more of an upright design(coming up from the armrest/ebrake area) with some lateral bracing against the seatbacks could work. safety first though...nothing like getting speared by a long piece of broken aluminum box stock.

instead of having the actual camera mount, you could just drill a hole in the support bar and screw in a bolt through that into the tripod mounting hole of the camera. Save yourslrf 20 bucks.

I still wanna make one of those...hehe I gotta do it..
its looks VERY easy
2 bars, bring them together, and then drill camera mount in middle
like a glove!

Re: How to make Video Camera Mount (ransack)
Another person used u-clamps to attach to his headrest posts instead of using the posts like other cars have. Just clamp to the funky headrest posts in 5th gens.
