Alarm Wiring Question: 2 Door Trigger Wires
I'm trying to find the appropriate Door trigger wire to tab into for my alarm.
In the vehicle wiring information, the wire should be a green/red wire. But in reality, I found TWO(2) wires both colored green/red. I have later found out that one wire is for the passenger's door and the other is for the driver's door. What should I do?
Thanks,

Oh crap, I just realized you're looking for the door trigger wire. Not door locks.
It should be a green/red wire, but you need to tap the trigger wire at the drivers "A" pillar. That's really the only way to do it properly.

Hi,
Yeah, I was talking about the door trigger (dome light trigger as well), my mistake for not making it clear.
B18C-EJ1: I found those (note the plural) green/red wires. But unfortunantly, there are TWO, and I only have one lead from the alarm. So I do not know which whire I should attach it (I was told that one is for the passenger door trigger, and the other for the driver side trigger).
I really dont want to just attach/splice into one, then the other door is bascially non-active.
Thanks for the post....
Please advice.

Really? the Passenger door alone is fine? Hmmm...
I have attached wire to dome light, as soon as any doors are open, voltage flows to dome light and alarm goes off. It's been like that for 3 years, I haven't had a problem. Unless there is something I should know....
Hope that helps

actually its a negative trigger
voltage doesnt flow to the light , the door switch creates a ground when open
that triggers the alarm ...... just FYI

Doctor CorteZ: You are right, it's a simple negative trigger.
So I guess it's a concesus (sp) that all I need to do is splice into the passenger door's wire?
Thanks.

I tapped into the light green / red trace wire that goes up the drivers side A pillar
just follow it back to the fusebox and tap in there
just follow it back to the fusebox and tap in there

Doctor CorteZ: Are you talking about the wire that goes up to the Dome Light? If that wires goes up directly to the dome light, is it still negative triggered?
yes , NEG trigger and right up the drivers side A-pillar
it provides ground to turn on the dome light and its on the correct side of the car
