Default Does D15B7 head work on D15B8?

I pulled the head off my 93 LX to do valve job and discovered someone had put a D15B8 engine at some time or another. I thought the 4 dr car was awful week.
Anyway, the cam and journals in the 8 valve head was destroyed, so is it okay to use the correct D15B7head and cam on the B8 block?
I don't want any valve to piston clearance problems. It looks to me like they should interchange, but I've never done it before, and need some expert opinions.
I have the B7 head already and that should give the car a little more hp to pull the 4 dr.
Thanks for the help.
Ron

I cleaned pistons yesterday and the 8 valve engine has 4 eylets in the pistons.
It looks to me like the only difference in the two engines is head and cam to get the 30 more hp.
I'm going to try it, since no one has opinion.
I'll post results so next guy will know.
