Need helmet advice - small size?
Kind of a strange question.......
In addition to my GSR, I have a Miata that I just put a rollbar in so I could do some track days. With my current autox helmet on, however, I'm about even with the top of the rollbar.
I'd like to buy a new, full-face helmet for track days and because of the rollbar height issue, I was wondering....do any brands of helmets tend to be smaller in size than others, thereby increasing my clearance?
Thanks in advance...I thought I'd post this on here since it's one of the best roadrace forums around.

Probably not the inch and a half you'll need with just a small helmet (if there is such a thing).
You can try lowering the seat with new brackets...

Actually, I'm not looking to save that much height. The track days around here just want you under the roll bar, no specified distance. If I do any Solo I events next year where a 2" clearance is mandated I will need to get a race seat. In the meantime, I just want to make sure I'm actually under the bar.
I have heard that there are size variances between the different brands of helmets. Problem is, I'm not sure there's a place around here where I can go try them all out and see for sure.

umm.. you could just slouch? really, I think a lower seat is the better way to go, unless prohibited by classification issues. I have the same issue with my Integra.. I figure it would be a big issue in a miata too without a ultra-low seat..
