I'm guessing "Big" was the model name of the suit? OMP uses Euro sizing, you need to find out what that is (if this is a used suit), then check here:

It's a seat not a suit.

I have a slightly older OMP, before they changed the names. It's the regular size one, whatever that means. I used to wear a 36 waist, and I fit in it just fine. I'm down a few inches though, and it still works well. I would think that the big would be able to accomodate a 40 waist with no problem.

I really like the seat too. Make sure you get a leg support cushion, if it doesn't have one.

I have the OMP Grip. My waist size is 35. I'm swimming in the OMP Big.

I you are not set on the OMP, try the Cobra Suzuka GT (GT refers to larger size - nice way of saying "for fat guys"). I'm in the 40" waist range and it fits very well.

Also consider the Sparco EVO 3....

Nash - whose 42 fits nicely...

Yes, there is an EVO 3. I'm a small fella, so these things offer no support over my factory Civic seats. They are really wide.

The regular evo fits me ok. I want the OMP cause I can get it for around a $100 cheaper.

I should be ok with the OMP Big though right? It's classified as an XL seat.

I would sit in seat before I buy it. A seat is one of those things that must be comfortable, and is something you will use for a relatively long period of time. They are expensive, and you don't want to make a mistake in your purchase.
