Does a 99-00 Cold Air Intake or Short Ram Intake fit in a 97 EX?

If, not what needs to happen to make it fit or work?

 

Why don't you try mocking it up and see if it will work. Or just buy the right one.

It should but buying the right 1 would be better than buying it twice

 

Aren't the throttle bodies different.

 

I think the only motor it wouldnt work on is the non vtec sohc since it had a vertical throttle body.

 

I am buying it used and would like to know if it fits.

There is a couple places that list the SI and EX using the same intake and some places say that the intake is completely different...

So has anyone put a SI air intake into an EX?

Yes it will fit. I had a cold air on my stock ex and when I did the ls/vtec swap in my car I used the same intake. Fits like a glove. You shoulc be fine

 

the Si and EX aftermarket CAI or short ram design is the same.

Unless you're buying a name brand system that is calibrated for each engine, they're the same. Ebay intakes for 92-95 civics and 96-00 Ex/Si are the same. The only diff is that the OBD2 models have a IAT hole in the intake.
It's also the same for 94-01 non-GSR integras, FYI.

both ex and si intakes are the same. I had an aem cai from an ex and it fit my Si nicely.

 

i had a 3" short ram injen intake on my ex and it fit fine.

so im assuming a cold air would be just as the same.
