Get fuel management FIRST, tune your setup to optimum power, then go after more power, because from there on, it's just retuning for the new modifications.

I recommend Hondata S300, or AEM EMS. Both are a bit costly, but searching for used parts will save you quite a bit.

Personally, I have AEM EMS, it's awesome. Definitely the best investment made in the car's performance thus far.

why are you running a jdm ecu?

it would help if you posted some goals of the car, like what it will be used for, etc.

or of course you could invest in some track time. buy some tires, pads, fluid, and learn to drive the car on a real race track.

Just as a disclaimer, the "butt dyno" is rarely accurate.

I would recommend doing some research on here and on team-integra.net. The AEM unit is a complete stand-alone replacement. The Hondata S300 is classified as a stand-alone unit(as opposed to a piggy-back) but requires the use of an ODB-I ECU. Ex: P28

My advice would be to research and find a tuner in your area. You have more options than AEM and Hondata, for example: eCtune, Neptune RPT, ChromePro, but it is always best to use the software your tuner is most proficient with.

As others have stated, I would hold off on modifications. Track time is the best bang for your buck. It's hard to describe, so you will just have to see for yourself.

Watkins and Limerock are both within a couple hours of you i would imagine. With regards to autocross, you could most likely find a SCCA region that holds events much closer to you than any road course you'd have to drive to.

Just to clarify, Autocross and Track days are two completely different things. I support both for seat time and fun, but would pick a track day(s) over autocross any day. Unless I only had $30.

How could you forget 1/4 mile runs. Don't forget to pratice at home and prep for the wet box, just we your street and get it slick and go at it.

Cause we all know that the ITR was meant for the 1320

Ok... stop right there.

Do yourself a favor and don't half *** a thing. Personally, I'd never change cams in a car without some sort of tuning. As others have mentioned, there are plenty of options out there, and i'd be willing to bet if you tuned your current setup, your "butt dyno" would notice it.

From there, if you want to do more, I would say get better/different mods. A good intake should net you a bit, and isn't as costly as other mods. But also as mentioned what are your goals/budget. Determine that first, and go from there.

NY is a pretty big state JD. not everyone lives near NYC

I live in the damn sticks, and NYC folk call me "upstate" even though Im only 45min from the GWB. however, I dont consider myself "upstate", im more "downstate" if anything. lower hudson valley, "northwest of the city", etc. I consider people in Albany, and beyond, "upstate". got it? ok good.

edit: and to the OP, go here to see if anything is within reasonable driving distance for you. some ppl think a 3 hr drive to NYC is reasonable, just so they can get White Castle. others think thats retarded lol. to each his own.
