I've noticed that there are low profile jacks but I've seen some cars are that far too low for that and was wondering what would be some good ramps to drive a car onto. I know I could use a 2x4 but I don't like the idea of wood slipping out from under the car, especially if the car is dead and all I'm able to do is push it.

if its too low for a jack, then I don't think ramps will work, unless you take off the front bumper. If a car won't go on my jakc, I rock the car to get it on, and when I lower it back down it usually sits high enough for the jack to clear back out.
