I've been in the JDM scene since you were like 7 or 8!! Lol. When it comes to JDM parts, it's all about how much you want to spend. Do you want new or used? do you wand things that are commonplace or so rare that most people don't even know what they are looking at??
Some cheap starter stuff is the kmh/8k redline guage cluster. you should be able to pick it up for around 250. then there are fenders (with the side marker), about 250-300 for the set. front and rear sir bumpers, with or with out the lips (require some mods to bolt locations) Headlights: Don't let anyone tell you different-EF8's DID NOT have one piece headlights. the Sir had headlights very similar to the USDM version and depending on the year the corners were different colors. if you want to be authentic, the 91 had orange. you can pick these up in non-Stanley form (aftermarket) for around 50 bucks, and about 100 for the h.o.p. ones, new.
If you are looking to get into some really rare stuff, and spend some $$$, look for the bronze tinted rear hatch and side windows (about 500-750 shipped depending on where you live), and the glass roof. you will have about 1k in the roof and about the same in the install, unless you have a hook-up at a body shop. they send the roof chopped at the top of the door pillars, which means you should chop your roof at the same place and weld it in.
Your best bet is to get in with a good JDM distributor, like inline four (www.inlinefour.com) or h motors (www.hmotorsonline.com). H motors is especially good for quality parts, great customer service, and excellent prices. to give you an idea, i got my B series Type R valve cover, brand new in the honda box for 125, 20 shipping. No one else will let them go for less than 180!!! Let those guys find your parts, then buy---meaning give them the time to find used parts in good condition, because for the most part, used body parts are the same price whether they are mint or all scratched up!!
Hope this helps you. any more questions, don't be afraid to ask!!!
