How to fix a P0302 (Cylinder #2 Misfire)
My engine light came on and I got a P0302 ( http://www.obd-codes.com/p0302 ) - Cylinder #2 Misfire.
How would I go about repairing this? There is some oil on all of the spark plugs, so would a new Valve Cover Gasket do the trick?
Thank You

You might want to get a compression test. I think that will help show whether your piston rings are shot. Possibly the spark plug tube seals? Maybe someone with more experience can help guide you.
Yea same thing happen to my Dad's Galant. Some oil was found in the seals. I would definitely go ahead and replace all the tube seals. And might as well replace the cover gasket....
But first check and see if there's any sign of crack or anything (arcing?) in the spark plug wires (where the wire meets the spark plug) And I would also clean inside the tube. And might as well and go ahead and change the spark plugs.

the spark plugs and wires etc. have been replaced by the dealer 1500 miles ago as part of a recall. So, I'll have someone replace the valve cover gasket etc. then...I just found it strange that all spark plugs when you unplug them had oil on them, but only #2 would misfire.
oil on the spark plug tip. The ones inside the combustion chamber? Then i'm not so sure if it's as a simple fix as changing the seals and gasket then.....
you know those 4 things that you can pull out of the engine that are attached to the spark wires? These are the spark plugs, right? They all have oil on the bottom when pulled out. What other things could be done?
