Anyone running 185/65/14 on their slammed cars?
Anyone running 185/65/14 on their slammed cars? If so, does it rub? Just curious cuz I have a chance to buy that size for cheap...
185/65-14 was the stock size on a lot of Hondas like '97-00 Civics, and it shouldn't rub on those cars, even if they're lowered reasonable amounts (say 1.5-2.0"). They can also use 195/60-14 without rubbing. However, on del sols, CRXs, and pre-'96 Civics, they might rub, and you should use 185/60-14.
What kind of car is this for (year, model, version)?

depends on the offset of the wheel but if you got oem steel rims or oem alloy wheels then go ahead and slam it to your heart's desire..it wont rub

Also, there isn't a single decent 185/65-14 tire, IMNSHO. Whereas you can get some good tires in 185/60-14 and 195/60-14 (such as Yokohama ES100 summer tires in both sizes, and, for those who need all-seasons to deal with snow as well as heat, the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS).

Thanks for all the replies! Reason I'm asking is because I found some BMW bottlecaps with 185/65/14 mounted on them already. I believe the bottlecaps have an offset of +35. I was planning to mount them on my DA with about a 2.5"+ drop so that's why I was wondering if it will rub before I buy the bottlecaps.
I don't want to spend anymore money buying different sized tires.. I was just looking for cheap wheels with tires already mounted..

Get the wheels/tires if the price is worth it if they didn't have tires. That way, it's like getting free tires; if the tires don't work, you're not really out anything.
