What do you think is better, th 5 speed? Or the new multimatic auto tranny?
Also, how much do you think it would cost to buy the whole swapping assembly and have it shipped to NC? Thanks

I see why HT members are taking up alcoholism lately.
Seems to me Honda's trying to make the Multimatic "lose" less power than a standard torque converter. It's basically a CVT otherwise, from what I've seen.
May be interesting, but surely more expensive. Depends on what you're looking for in "better" - Daily driver, sporty vehicle, fuel economy, price?
Seems like a cool enough setup.

you're exactly right, the multimatic is made to reduce the loss of power. And i'm sure would be uber expensive, though I can't seem to find it anywhere, nor can I find an entire 3 stage engine assembly for a swap, though I have found an engine alone. As for what i'm looking for in "better", price does come into the equation, but if the multimatic does get better mileage than a manual tranny, it may be a better option depending on price.
