i did the same with my rear EX and CIVIC emblems but when looked at from a certain angle you can clearly see where the emblem was. Also... I bought my car used from a dealership in texas and someone was obviously a big longhorns fan and their residue was left behind as well... any help??

The residue peels off easy. I had my 'Si' badge stolen just months after I got the car in my school parking lot and I rolled it off with my fingers. You can't tell because I just replaced it with another 'Si' badge, but I would say clean it well with whatever car cleaner and you should be alright. Let us know how it goes. Or ask that guy with the VW 2.0 that some people are hating on.

P.S. I'm not one of the haters lol

all you need is a blow dryer or a heat gun. then just peal it off with your hand or just use a dental floss

Some car wash guys at the local Honda dealership just pealed it (and the left "civic" emblem) off with their fingers I was like at first, but they put Mean Green on it and you couldn't even tell it was there to begin with. Mean Green is really good at cleaning the wheels as well.

on the resell value if i don't buy new emblems since they basically broke them off and threw them away.

If you are worried about still being able to see the Si after you remove the adhesive just go to an auto parts store and by an adhesive remover. I removed both the Si and Civic emblems's, wiped it down with some adhesive remover and washed it off. You can't tell they were ever there.

I took my emblems off with fishing line, stupid string kept busting and then either WD-40 or goo gone and then buff it

Seems like alot of trouble just to relocate an emblem 2 feet to a center location. Anybody who knows Hondas will recognize that your car is an Si just by the spoiler, exhaust, wheels, side decals, etc.

Either leave the Si emblem where it is or debadge the rear completely for a sleeper-type look.

I've personally never been a fan of plastering emblems of features that everybody knows the Si has.........."2.0, i-Vtec, K20, DOHC," etc. That's why I took all the badging I could off. The "Civic" emblem, the "Si" rear emblem, and the side "i-Vtec" decals as well. And I'm seriously debating on changing out the front grill to.

I agree. I took all of the same things off of my car and painted the front and rear "H" emblems just to give the car a different look. I think the Si in place of th H would look a little wierd IMO.
