Will this include trans ?
Will this include trans ?
try to piece something together,
B16 trans 500$
gsr long block 1500
axles and half shaft 150
current d-series ecu chipped 100
type r cams 250-300 (buy the intake p73, inner and outer springs valve springs)
decent power for the money, mine made 176 at the wheels w a jdm 4-1 header on a worldsport exhaust
not including the drivers side mount if going into a 92-95 civic, shop right and take your time and you can get these pieces cheaper like 700 short block and 400 head then replace all the seals while you are at it (maybe some itr pistons too) and maybe a trans for 350 i've seen it before a couple of times

Can't be done. Axles, motor, ecu, transmission, mounts, etc will easily come to well over 3 grand and you are looking at a stock GSR. At least in CA. Maybe if you did all the work yourself and found some amazing prices on everything you could get a stock gsr into your civic with 2 grand. But I still doubt it.

agreed. it's not looking good brother. but hey, if you have $2500 to start with, and can maintain some steady cash flow, it can be done for not much more.
i'm building an LS VTEC and i projected like $3500 or so. i've gone over that by $700 or so, but it's cool, it depends on how bad you want it.
but B series is a good place to start. good luck with your build man.

yea you'd have to wait to get good deals. this isn't an overnight build. it'll take a little bit of time to score some good deals mainly the block/head tranny, and on a eg/ek build you can reuse the tranny mount and the back mount (ek would require the "si" t bracket and the drivers side t-belt mount)
by saving on the labor and turning a few wrenches i did it for 1900 not calling this an everyday case but a through a lot of hunting and going through a lot of people to help you it can be done
$400 tranny b16
$450 block gsr
$400 head gsr
$200 skunk2 im
$75 axles (used)
$100 ecu p30
$75 shift linkage
$200 jdm 4-1 real deal but flange messed up had rewelded
to top it all off it ran 8.9's in the 1/8 mile didn't get a chance to get to a 1/4mile track (but i know it's in the 13's). (took out a ws6 trans am and lt1 camaro ss). And yes i did all the work and it took 5 month to get the parts together, worth it.
