VSS question
Found the D Series EF Civic and CRX Hydraulic Transmission Swap but cant find the B-series.

I was swapping a B16 motor into my 89 CRX HF and run it OBDI, so I can go BAR it legal. My point is....
-How does the VSS work for a B-series cable transmission if I go OBDI? Do I need to change it to Electronic VSS?
-I know Hasport provide cable to hydro conversion kit but how would the cluster work?
I appreciate for your help.

You can interchange the Cable style VSS from any B-Series transmission and the Electronic VSS style. I have a cable tranny in my EF with a 2000 B16 electronic VSS to run my 2000 Si cluster.

So U basically need to swap out the cluster to make the electronic VSS work correct?

if you go obd1 you do not have to use an electronic vss. if you have the stock cluster and intend on sticking with it then use a cable style vss in your trans. If you plan on changing the cluser out to something different that requires an electronic speedo signal, then you'll want to get an electronic vss.
