Default B18C6 on P30 ECU

Can I run a euro spec itr engine B18C6 on my '97 EK4 VTi P30 ECU? Will this give any problems? I want to get a decent tune in the near future and this would just be to get me rolling asap.

Or can I just plug in an ITR ECU in my stock wire harnass without problems?

Thanks

Why wouldn't you be able to run an ITR engine on an ITR ecu?

I wouldn't run the P30 ECU, the B16 has different ignition maps than the B18C.

because you're plugging in a OBD1 ECU into a OBD2 wiring harnass...

All you said was "Or can I just plug in an ITR ECU in my stock wire harnass".

You never said whether or not it was OBD1 or OBD2
